May 2010 - PM lunches with ESPN Announcer and Publix Vice Chairman

PM enjoyed a lunch meeting with Lee Corso, the ESPN sports announcer and Publix official, Barney Barnett.

Lee Corso is a sports broadcaster and football analyst for ESPN where he has been featurued on College GameDay since is inception.

Barney Barnett is Vice Chairman of Publix Supermarkets, a Lakeland based supermarket chain with stores all over the Southeast, and one of the largest regional grocery chains in the USA.

It's probably safe to say that if you're interested in American football, the discussion during lunch was fascinating.

April 2010 - PM sponsors "Riding for a Cure"

PM was proud to be a Gold sponsor of the 27 bike team members from Shrader Engineering as they rode in the MS 150 Cyclist Riding for a Cure 2010 event.

The two-day fundraising bike ride from Houston to Austin Texas, was organized by National Muscular Sclerosis Society and is the largest non-profit event of its kind in North America with 13,000 riders, 4,000 volunteers and thousands of supporters. We're happy for the opportunity to help.

Next year, we hope to participate with a biker or two. Guess some workout is required for the 150 mile ride...phew!

March 2010 - PM attended NACE show

PM attended the NACE Corrosion 2010 Conference and Expo.

This year more than 5,900 attendees from 60+ countries joined together in San Antonio, Texas, for the world’s largest corrosion conference and exposition.

CORROSION 2010 was full of informational meetings, symposia, and forums, entertaining networking events, and an exhibit hall that featured over 550 exhibits from companies from around the world.

March 2010 - PM opens office in the United Kingdom

PM is happy to announce the opening of our Manchester UK location. Headed up by Paul Guerin, PM is better positioned to serve customers in the United Kingdom and Europe in general.

February 2010 - Introducing our Technical Director

Here at PM International Suppliers we don’t push product; we push expertise! Living up to that reputation, we’re happy to introduce our new Technical Director Mike Glavin.  Mike is responsible for all technical and quality activities within the company. 

Mike brings over twenty years experience in engineering, manufacturing and quality, holding positions of progressive responsibilities from Lab Technician to Director of Engineering and Quality Assurance. His areas of expertise are severe service valve applications, a broad knowledge of materials used in corrosive and erosive environments, and compliance to detailed Customer requirements. 

In his long career in the valve industry, Mike has coordinated several product development projects resulting in new valve product lines and led teams in product enhancement engineering.

Having actively participated in industry standard committees including ISA and API, and contributed to standards, Mike has an in-depth understanding of material and performance testing.  In a company that prides itself on its high levels of expertise, Mike fits right in!  We look forward to applying Mike’s knowledge to our day to day operations.

Mike holds a B.S. Mechanical Engineering Technology from the University of Lowell and is a graduate of the School of Industrial Management at Worcester Polytechnic Institute.

April 2009 - We're pleased to announce our new Texas location!
To serve our clients in Texas, we have opened a location in Houston. Besides our regular product offerings, our Houston location specializes in tubing and pipe fittings, compression fittings, clamps, instrumentation tubing & valves, plus tubing tools. Our Houston location will also serve our USA warehousing needs.

Rodney Wilson and Alfonso Orozco in Houston will be supported by occassional visits from Eric Richardson from our Lakeland office. So, look out for the Houston guys in their eye-catching trucks!

September 2007 - PM celebrates milestone sales
PM employees work hard but they also know how to relax! Every year, PM enjoys a get-a-way weekend with families. This year, the company traveled to beautiful Vero Beach, Florida. And with record-breaking sales this year, there was a lot to celebrate! PM knows that it is lucky to have a dedicated, conscientious staff who knows how to work in a team, and knows how to have a good time, too!

October 2006 - Ribbon Cutting at PM's new offices
Lakeland's mayor, Buddy Fletcher and representatives from the Chamber of Commerce joined PM for a ribbon cutting ceremony at their new office location October 27th, 2006.

PM's new offices in South Lakeland were completely renovated and designed for maximum efficiency with open structuring between sales and expediting, shipping area, meeting and conference rooms, a state-of-the-art network server room, etc.
